Residents of nursing homes and assisted living centers are some of the most forgotten and neglected people of our day. They struggle with loneliness and separation from normal lifelong activities, such as involvement in their churches and the comfort it brings. Christians who are in nursing homes need the fellowship of other believers and the comfort of the Scriptures. Those without a relationship with Jesus Christ need the light and love that a believer can share through their faith. Many are looking for something of eternal value.
Each month, we reach out to the elderly in our community and show the love of Jesus in a practical way. Our nursing home outreach visits the residents of our local area nursing homes to sing songs, pray, share the Word of God and provide free resources that will lift and encourage the elderly.
